11U AA AK Jays Defend Caledon Tournament Title
The 11U AA AK Jays won the 11U Caledon Baseball Tournament for the second consecutive year!
The Jays once again got contributions from the entire team over 5 games to win their first tournament of the season and successfully defend their title.
They went 2-1 in pool play, causing a three-way tie with Whitby and the Mississauga Twins. The Jays’ defence won them the tie-breaker to advance straight to the semi-finals in the rain-shortened tournament.
Despite a slow start to the season and the tournament, the Jays quickly regained their form from last year and got outstanding pitching performances, great defense and top to bottom run production from the entire batting order in the semis and in the finals. The Jays beat the Royal York Cardinals 8-3 in the semis and then beat a strong Mississauga Tigers team 8-4 in the final.
